Digital technology has completely invaded every Belgian company and revolutionised our world in recent years, with the spread of remote working, remote communication tools, etc.

If managed and used wisely, digital tools can bring about new sustainable values that are more environmentally friendly and more ethical towards society.
Galvanised by this speech, some twenty organisations (such as Accenture Belgium, Brussels Environment, the Belgian Red Cross, the Foundation for Digital Inclusion, Smart2Circle and Valorescence) are signing the "Responsible Digital Technology" Charter together with the BRIC this Thursday 22 April at 11am! Supported by the non-profit Belgian Institute for Sustainable IT, the Charter aims to strengthen the commitment of signatory organisations to a more environmentally friendly, ethical and inclusive digital environment.

Bear in mind that the BRIC is a founding member of the Belgian Institute for Sustainable IT and has a long history of commitment to reducing its digital impact.

For example, the BRIC powers its server rooms with renewable energy and has therefore joined the Sibelga market, which supplies 100% green electricity. The BRIC has also signed agreements with Brussels non-profit organisations to ensure that IT equipment is reconditioned and reused.
The establishment of a network of exchanges and good practices is crucial for the future and the BRIC is happy to officially commit to digital sobriety together with the other signatories.
