Property management

The HMS (Housing Management System) service is a software package that provides social property management functionalities for the administrative services of public or similar institutions. The service is fully in line with Brussels regional regulations. 

Unlike other property management tools, HMS takes a maximum amount of information from authentic sources and is a tailor-made tool for Brussels public institutions (or similar). 

A customised solution for FEDAIS

FEDAIS, the Federation of Social Estate Agencies, wanted to acquire a management application covering all business processes related to property and rental management. The Housing Management System application was developed to harmonise and standardise their IT solutions in one common management application.  Training sessions allowed AIS staff to become familiar with the tool (120 users in total). HMS ensures the uniform and cross-cutting management of housing stock, the allocation of housing, invoices, service charge statements, etc. It is now used by 22 of the 24 social housing agencies. 2,900 homes are currently encoded out of the 5,500 in the region's AISs. The encoding phase is ongoing. 

The HMS service allows FEDAIS members to manage the relationship between property, (candidates) tenants and owners. The principle of mutualisation has allowed the rapid deployment of a solution while customising the platform to meet the specific needs of AISs and users.
